Balenciaga Will Donate Proceeds From New Collection to World Food Programme
The second charitable collection expands offerings to new styles.
Balenciaga is partnering for a second time with the World Food Programme (WFP), a humanitarian organization dedicated to ending global hunger. Continuing its partnership with the program, Balenciaga will release another collection of clothing and accessories to raise awareness and funds for the cause. The brand will donate 20 percent — doubled from last year’s 10 percent– of proceeds from the new collection to WFP.
The range includes hoodies and T-shirts and expands last year’s offerings to hats, scarves, pants, raincoats, blouses and socks. Items are printed with the official WFP logo as well as a mash-up of Balenciaga and WFP graphics. The collection will be sold in-store and online starting in December. Stay tuned as additional imagery and pricing information is released.
