Hydrate, Illuminate and Protect Your Skin with Laura Mercier's New Primer Collection
Six new products from the popularizer of primer.
Laura Mercier, the makeup artist and brand responsible for bringing primers to the market for everyday use, has unveiled the Pure Canvas Primer collection. Originally reserved for theatrical makeup use, primer was introduced to consumers as an essential step in their makeup routine with the launch of Laura Mercier in 1996.
The six-piece range consists of hydrating, blurring, illuminating, perfecting and protecting primers, each formulated with ingredients to target specific skin concerns. Pure Canvas Primer Hydrating contains olive extract to lock in moisture while Blurring diffuses light and improves skin’s appearance over time with conditioning microalgae. Illuminating is made with micronized pearls, for a dewy finish and Perfecting contains aloe vera and vitamin C for a soothing skincare boost. Lastly, Protecting offers Broad Spectrum SPF 30 to defend against UV rays. Topping off the collection is the Power Primer Supercharged Essence, the primer hybrid that preps the skin for makeup application.
Laura Mercier’s Pure Canvas Primer collection ranges from $20 to $55 USD and can be purchased online.
