Cardi B‘s show-stopping Mugler looks for the Grammys 2019 were the talk of the night. Her otherworldly red carpet look, performance outfit and award-acceptance look were each archival pieces from Thierry Mugler’s 1995 collection. Vogue takes us behind the scenes as Cardi and her team prep for the big night taking a quick trip to Paris to visit the Mugler studio. Stylist Kollin Carter explains that Cardi B embodies the fearlessness and boundary-pushing of the ’90s capsule. We watch as he and the Mugler atelier make alterations to each item including adding some extra fabric to her gloves to fit her long acrylics.
