GANNI and lululemon Just Changed the Activewear Game
Dropping a collaboration inspired by ’80s dance films.
The collaboration you didn’t know you needed? GANNI and lululemon. The two brands are putting a fashion-girl spin on activewear, joining forces for a 22-piece collection inspired by the joy, freedom and self-expression of movement.
The lineup brings lululemon’s technical expertise together with GANNI’s unmistakable Copenhagen cool, drawing heavily from the world of 1980s dance films. Think performance-ready pieces reworked with the Danish label’s signature leopard print, bold color combinations and playful ruffle detailing.
Alongside familiar lululemon silhouettes like the Define Jacket, the collection introduces dance-inspired accessories including leg warmers, boleros and headbands. Technical fabrics keep things functional, while GANNI’s styling codes make the pieces equally suited to the studio and the street. You’ll have people asking whether what you’re wearing is in fact activewear.
The collaboration is fronted by actress Jennifer Beals and singer and dancer METTE for the “Joy Is A Power Move” campaign. Shot inside a dance studio, the accompanying film channels the emotional energy of 80s dance culture while highlighting movement as a form of self-expression.
The collection lands on October 15 via the lululemon and GANNI websites. Check out the playful imagery above.
