A Backstage Look at GANNI's SS19 Runway Presentation

Filled with playful, feminine separates.

GANNI debuted its Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week on Thursday, August 9. We were granted a backstage look at the presentation which took place in an extra-large unused warehouse decked out with shipping containers. To top off the grungy feel, the soundtrack featured tracks by Nirvana. The Scandi label is well known for serving up preppy, on-trend separates including playful floral prints and expertly cut tops seen all over Instagram. For its SS19 range, the husband-wife duo, creative director Ditte Reffstrup and CEO Nicolaj Reffstrup served up an energetic, pastel-filled collection.

Staple materials which were utilized included metallic knits, sheer garments and of course head-turning hues of denim. The latest collection featured a collaboration with Icelandic outerwear brand 66North on numerous jackets. GANNI never plays it safe — the line’s effortless fusion of feminine silhouettes alongside masculine elements like chunky hiking boots make this testament clear.

Take a look at the backstage shots in the gallery above. Stay tuned here for further coverage of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
