Netflix Announces New Fashion Reality Series Hosted by Tan France of 'Queer Eye'
With Alexa Chung as his co-host.
Best known as the style expert in the hit series Queer Eye, Tan France will be joined by British It-girl and designer Alexa Chung in a newly announced Netflix fashion competition show called Next In Fashion. The upcoming series will be the first-ever fashion show created by the streaming platform.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Next In Fashion will feature a total of 10 episodes, and will see a Project Runway-esque format where a group of fashion designers is tasked with various challenges ”centering on a different trend or design style that has influenced the way the entire world dresses.”
18 designers who have worked with major brands and celebrities have been recruited for the show. In addition to competing for a $250,000 USD prize, they’ll also battle head-to-head for a chance to launch a collection with luxury e-tailer, Net-a-Porter.
Notables in the industry including Instagram director of fashion partnerships Eva Chen and celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart will also appear on the show as guest judges.
