Uniqlo UT Teams up With Verdy for “RISE AGAIN BY VERDY” Capsule
See the collection here.
Following its latest collaboration with KAWS, Uniqlo UT is teaming up with graphic artist and designer Verdy for its latest capsule collection. Titled “RISE AGIAN BY VERDY,” the new range will join NIGO‘s division at Uniqlo and will feature a selection of graphic T-shirts and one-pieces.
The capsule will be largely female-focused, much like the designer’s label Girls Don’t Cry imprint which is dedicated to his wife and women at-large. The collection is meant to spread the message of positivity and encourage girls around the world to feel “happy and empowered via clothing,” sporting messages like “Break the Mold,” “Live Fast Live Long” and “I’m the Luckiest.” In addition to the typography, pieces also sport Verdy’s iconic rabbit character.
For the lookbook, Uniqlo UT and Verdy has tapped Japanese model Emma, who also played a big part in sculpting the entire campaign and shooting it.
Take a look at the lookbook images in the gallery above as well as a selection of pieces from the range. Prices will start at ¥1,500 JPY (approximately $14 USD) for T-shirts, and ¥1,990 JPY (approximately $18 USD) for the one-pieces. The collection will hit Uniqlo Japan’s web store as well as in-store on May 27.
