Gucci Debuts a New Leopard Print Sneaker, the Screener
Inspired by the ’70s.
Following up on its Resort 2020 presentation, Gucci reveals a new Screener sneaker design. The model is named for the defensive sports move and is also directly influenced by classic trainers from the ’70s. Since the fashion house’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele typically pulls inspiration from the past, it comes as no surprise that the sneaker alludes to old school shapes and vintage sportswear seen in many of Gucci’s collection.
The silhouette features a mix of leather alongside animal pint suede and a Web stripe trim. Additional detailing is marked by pink and black leather on the upper and an oval enameled accent with a metal “GG” near the toe box. Rounding out the specs is a gum sole and label with a vintage Gucci logo.
You can pre-order Gucci’s Screener sneaker exclusively at Gucci’s web store for $750 USD.
