For the 10th anniversary of his eponymous brand, Simon Porte Jacquemus invited guests once again to the south of France in Valensole where he showed a combined women’s and men’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection titled, “Le Coup de Soleil”. The designer tapped Swarovski for the first time this season for a special collaboration revealed on the hot pink runway surrounded by countless rows of lavender.
Amongst a range of clothes including pantsuits, Bermuda shorts, and pleated skirts inspired by the works of artists David Hockney, Paul Cézanne, and Jean Lurçat, were pieces like a patchwork dress and women’s heels all adorned with Swarovski crystals. The line also included items such as earrings with cascading embellishments, an oversized mesh polo shirt worn as a dress, and bucket hat with a crystal drawstring.
