Dior Celebrates Chinese Valentine's Day with a Hearts-Filled Dioramour Line
Made for romantics at-heart.
To celebrate Chinese Valentine’s Day, Dior has released its Dioramour line, a collection of clothing, bags, shoes and accessories.
The range features pieces decorated, designed and covered in everything associated with romance — like heart appliqués and the phrase “Je t’aime.” While the collection’s red-tone could possibly be seen as a subtle nod to Chinese culture’s deep reverence for the color, which also symbolizes prosperity, luck and grace, the choice of red for Dioramour was because it symbolized life for the late designer, Christian Dior.
Standout pieces include sneakers that feature the “Je t’aime” phrase placed on the side. Other key pieces include the Dior Saddle bag covered in a sea of red leather flower appliqués and a choker necklace with little charms on the front. Overall the entire collection reimagines an age-old holiday into a youthful expression of love. While the release does include some heavier pieces like a sweater, you can easily fill your closet with the line and then wait a few months before you wear the other pieces. This is one of those releases you’ll regret missing.
The Dioramour collection is currently available in Dior boutiques located in China and Canada.
