Would You Cop These $20,000 USD Diamond Encrusted Apple AirPods?

Bling bling.

As the debut piece in his “NEW MATERIALISM” art series, Los Angeles artist and designer Ian Delucca has created the most luxurious Apple AirPods yet. The project “guides us into new relationships with the material world,” and is meant to explore the concept of mixing art and commerce together. Each sculpture in the art series will reimagine commercial products in a new form using capitalist design processes.

With a limited quantity of 25 pieces, each custom “Object No.1 AirPods” sculpture set is functional and accompanied by a marble charging station. The AirPods themselves are cast in white gold and embellished with VVS natural, mined diamonds. Additionally, each set includes a serial number containing the piece’s edition number and creation date. Scroll through the gallery above to take a closer look at the artist’s new take on Apple‘s popular earbuds.

The AirPods are available for purchase only via direct message inquiry on the artist’s Instagram page before public release.
