The Vans Bold Ni Just Got a Red and Green Tartan Makeover
’90s punk is back.
Vans just released two versions of its Bold Ni, called the “Tartan Pack,” and it’s a complete throwback. Referencing the company’s skate wear history, both are every ’80s and ’90s punk kid’s staple shoe.
The two available colorways are red and green, each featuring subtle hints of extra color blended in. The print itself, feels like an appropriate elaboration of the original checkerprint Vans is known for. The Bold Ni silhouette has not changed, giving the new colors the ability to fully shine. While this is not a drastically different design, it speaks to how the shoe company’s heritage style is still relevant. For styling, we recommend sticking to a classic hoodie and jeans combo.
