Heron Preston’s New Levi’s SS20 Collaboration Reminds Us That Mistakes Are Okay
Featuring fuchsia denim silhouettes.
Heron Preston is continuing his collaboration with Levi’s by releasing a Spring/Summer 2020 capsule. Titled “Mistakes are OKAY,” the collection is inspired by the designer’s own life.
Preston released the teaser images on Instagram, along with a caption that explains what inspired him to design it.
“My next @levis collab for SS20 is called “Mistakes are OK” inspired by a tattoo on my arm that reads 1873 MISTAKES ARE OKAY. The hospital where I was born accidentally recorded my birth year as 1873 instead of 1983 on my birth certificate. 1873 is also the year Levi’s was founded.”
The collection features jackets and pants in both traditional, denim blue and also fuchsia. Throughout the pieces, we also see orange buttons, asymmetrical pockets, mismatched patches, intentional fabric distortion and of course, the Levi’s branding. Stay tuned to learn more in the meantime, revisit the designer and jean legend’s previous collaboration, fronted by Hailey Bieber.
