Jaden Smith Drops Highly Personal Album 'ERYS'
The album features some of the industry’s best musicians including A$AP Rocky and Kid Cudi.
On July 5, Jaden Smith released his ERYS album, a 17-track collection featuring some of music’s hottest talents. Some of the collaborators include Tyler, The Creator, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Willow Smith and Trinidad James. The album marks Smith’s second album since SYRE.
The songs are a mix of emotional slow beats and more familiar, moody tunes we’d expect from Smith. From the curation of song names, it seems like the album is more personal than his previous work, especially with titles like “Summertime in Paris,” “Pain” and “On My Own.” Speaking about the album with Billboard, Smith commented, “It’s kind of like the angel and devil on my shoulder, and Syre’s the angel… That was me telling the world, ‘Yo, this album’s gonna be something you haven’t seen from me.’”
