The BAE Bulletin: Here's When and Where to Shop This Week's Best Releases
Sneakerheads, this one’s for you.
As we settle into the midst of summer, it seems like everyone is on vacation. If the Instagram stories that are just a constant real of your friends chilling out poolside are getting you down, why not treat yourself to a brand new piece for your wardrobe instead?
This week’s BAE Bulletin is pretty sneaker-heavy, so all you trainer lovers out there will have plenty of options to choose from. Nike is releasing its Air Max 270 React in a vibrant new hue as well as its more subdued Air Moc made in collaboration with Fear of God. adidas is teaming up with Pharrell Williams once more, this time on a Solar Hu pack in “Greyscale” and if designer shoes are more your thing, you have to check out the Concepts x Versace Chain Reaction sneaker in green. While there are notably less beauty drops than in recent weeks, Glossier fans can get their hands on the brand’s logo hoodie soon – just the thing you need for those cooler summer nights.
Take a look at all the best releases below and why not check out our guide to what sneaker suits your zodiac sign too?
Fear of God x Nike Air Moc “Particle Beige”
Release Date: July 20
Release Price: $170 USD, available at Livestock
This coveted collab between Swoosh and Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo debuted in three colorways this spring and are already showing as sold out on Nike’s own web store. Canadian retailer Livestock, however, appears to be getting the “Particle Beige” iterations in this week. The boot-like sneaker boasts a slim silhouette and a canvas construction in a nude shade. The laceless construction is combatted with an elastic strap on the midfoot, a snap button closure on the side and a toggle on the heel for a superior fit. The slightly elevated midsole adds to the chic look and of course, subtle Fear of God text branding is embossed on the lateral side of the midsole.
Nike Air Max 270 React “Electro Green/Flash Crimson-Blue Lagoon”
Release Date: July 18
Release Price: €160 EUR (approximately $180 USD), available at Titolo
The Air Max 270 React has been one of Nike’s most eye-catching silhouettes to land recently, thanks to its panelled upper and large Air Max bubble. This version definitely isn’t for wallflowers; its green, blue and coral detailing ensures you’ll stand out from the crowd. The mixed-material upper combines a translucent TPE fabric with foamy elements, giving the silhouette some real depth. Rounding out the look is watermelon-colored Air Max cushioning and an aqua outsole.
Concepts x Versace Chain React
Release Date: July 19
Release Price: $1075 USD, available at Concepts web store and location in Boston & NYC
Do you remember Jennifer Lopez’ iconic plunging green Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards? Retailer Concepts sure does, and its teamed up with Versace to transform the look into the chunky Chain Reaction sneaker. Taking on the same hue and the jungle-inspired graphics seen on the dress, this luxe sneaker has cord laces and is offset by a nude, quilted tongue. Completing the silhouette is the bulky white midsole – this one’s a must-cop for those who are after a slice of fashion history.
Pharrell x adidas Solar Hu “Greyscale” pack
Release Date: July 20
Release Price: Prices start from $160 USD, available at Sneakersnstuff
Pharrell and adidas’ longstanding partnership shows no signs of slowing down yet, seeing that the duo have revealed their latest release. The “Greyscale” pack is ideal for minimalists as it sees the Solar Hu silhouette in a range of monochromatic hues like “Off White,” “White,” “Core Black” and “Grey.” The tonal shoes feature subtle, matching details like Hu embroidery on the midfoot with the only slight pop of color coming in the form of a triangular Hu emblem in rainbow on the off white version that sits just by the ankle.
