Nike’s Vandalized LX Is Deconstruction at Its Finest

Nike adopts the popular Japanese cut-and-sew technique.

Luxury and edge merge with Nike’s newest Vandalized LX sneaker. Featuring leather and suede in a “White/Platinum Tint/Game Royal” colorway, this design takes the iconic Nike Swoosh and makes it hyper-contemporary.

From its profile, we see a major restitch happen to connect the body to the sole. Near the sole, we see those discreet stitchings again near the toe. Along the upper side, gray distressed suede juxtaposes against the smooth white base. But the key point is definitely the asymmetrical Nike Swoosh that peaks halfway-through a half-pocket. Finally when you look from the top two brightly contrasting shoe liners greet you — one in blue, the other red. Even the Swoosh on the shoe liner is shifted. Finishing with some drawstring laces, the shoe commands attention.

Pair them with anything — maxi dresses, jeans and even vintage will match. Just try to keep them clean; it is near impossible to remove stains on suede.

The Nike Vandalized LX in colorway White, Platinum Tint and Game Royal will release on Nike’s website soon for $130 USD.
