Watch Snoopy Go to Space in the Trailer for Apple TV+'s First 'Peanuts' Show
The ‘Peanuts’ gang is back.
2018 was a year of collaborations for Peanuts, including collections with BAPE, Browns and more. Now, it’s time for Snoopy to go to space in a new TV show made in partnership with NASA and Apple. The educational series will be made exclusively for Apple TV+, an extension of Apple TV that will be a new video subscription service featuring original content.
In the trailer for the Snoopy in Space TV series, Snoopy is seen floating happily through the galaxy before being sent plummeting back to earth and realizing it was all a dream. The video also features appearances by fan-favorites of the Peanuts gang including Woodstock, Marcie, Peppermint Pattie and of course, Charlie Brown.
According to Apple’s log line for the upcoming animated series, Snoopy in Space is about Snoopy following his dreams to become an astronaut. Him and Woodstock tag along on a school field trip to NASA with the Peanuts gang, and the two animal friends get chosen for an elite mission that takes them to outer space. While Snoopy and Woodstock start astronaut training and prepare for their space travel journey, Charlie Brown and his friends assist and support their pals from mission control.
The DHX Media-produced show is set to launch in the fall, just in time for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Watch the trailer above to get a first look at Snoopy and the gang in action, and stay tuned for more.
