As an extension of the CW series that ran from 2007 to 2012, the upcoming show launching on HBO Max will center around a new generation of private school teens in New York who discover Gossip Girl eight years after the website went dark. It remains unclear whether the original cast, including Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford, will appear in the new series or not, but we’re betting that one of the biggest stars of the show will be returning to our screens.
