Here Are the Shows You Can't Miss at London Fashion Week

Burberry, ASHISH, Roberta Einer and more.

London Fashion Week is finally kicking off tomorrow, and we’re looking forward to exciting shows, events and street-style throughout the next few days. Whether you’ve been dying to see what Riccardo Tisci will be showcasing in his third show for Burberry, or drooling after new creations from ASHISH, this London Fashion Week is guaranteed to be packed with must-see collections.

Prior to the week, we’ve compiled some of the shows that you can’t miss at LFW below. Take a look at our favorite names from this year’s lineup below, and stay tuned for all our London Fashion Week coverage throughout the week.

Roberta Einer

London-based designer Roberta Einer has an impressive background in the industry, having worked at Balmain and Alexander McQueen before launching her eponymous label. Her unique aesthetic incorporates both technical tailoring skills as well as a unique vision, which has made Einer one of the biggest names to watch.

Roberta Einer will be showcasing her SS20 collection on September 13. Make sure to watch this space for more Roberta Einer.

Matty Bovan

This LFW will mark Matty Bovan’s third standalone show, but the designer has previously shown three times with Fashion East. He’s also been awarded for the second time two-show support from BFC NEWGEN, and is a big talent to keep an eye out for. His work is regularly worn by names like Adwoa Aboah, Rita Ora and Tilda Swinton, and there’s no doubt that Matty Bovan will only grow bigger and bigger.

Tune in on September 13 to catch Matty Bovan’s show.

Marques’ Almeida

Marques’ Almeida designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida are returning to London after showing their past collection in Paris. At the heart of the brand are the label’s “it girls,” who are a big inspiration for the brand’s design and purpose. In the past, the label has shown collections in Paris and Portugal, and will be hitting the London Fashion Week runway on September 14.

Victoria Beckham

Having just revealed her upcoming beauty brand, Victoria Beckham will be showing her collection for her eponymous label this weekend. Celebrating 11 years in the industry, we’re sure to see the designer’s signature elegant pieces as well as refined silhouettes for the modern woman, and we’re also expecting a lot of sleek footwear as well as accessories.

Catch Victoria Beckham’s show on September 15.

ASHISH

When it comes to craftsmanship, there’s no show like ASHISH. Designed by Ashish Gupta, the bold and maximalist designs are all glamorous, luxury and colorful, and the designer himself considers them all “politically-charged messages and social landscapes via hand embroidery and artisan tradition.” The designer has been exhibited at the prestigious V&A Museum as well as at the MET, and is one of the names you need to keep an eye on this season.

Catch the ASHISH show on September 15.

JW Anderson

Of course, JW Anderson is one of the biggest shows to hit the runway at LFW. Jonathan Anderson has become one of the biggest names in the industry, currently holding the position of Creative Director at luxury label Loewe as well as his own label. Last season, Anderson showcased a sophisticated show that proved he’s a force to be reckoned with, and this season we hope to see more experimental silhouettes and textures from the British designer.

JW Anderson will be showing on September 16.

Burberry

Lastly, we have Burberry. Being the biggest name on this year’s fashion week schedule, Creative Director Riccardo Tisci will be showcasing his third collection for the heritage brand. Since being appointed at the fashion house, Tisci has established a new aesthetic for the brand as well as a new and modern business model, taking inspiration from streetwear and modern culture.

When it comes to Tisci, we never know what to expect. Make sure to keep an eye out as the label will be showing on Monday the 16th of September.
