Feng Chen Wang Debuts Another Collaboration With Converse

Revealed on the Shanghai Fashion Week runway.

London-based designer Feng Chen Wang has just revealed another collaboration with footwear giant Converse, this time debuting at Shanghai Fashion Week as part of Wang’s SS20 collection. Having worked with the label last year on a deconstructed and reinterpreted Chuck 70 silhouette, the designer is bringing back the sneaker in two new colorways.

Merging Converse’s signature silhouette with Feng Chen Wang’s unique and sculptural aesthetic, the shoe sees layered panelling across the laterals in a rubber-like material, inspired by rubber galoshes, which was one of Converse’s first products back in 1909. “Converse is very similar to us in that they are also a brand filled with energy and passion, and, one that is brave enough to test new designs and forego a template. When you are unsure if you will succeed or fail, you simply create. Think about the most difficult think you can ever think and make it happen,” said Wang on the new collaboration.

The CONVERSE BY FENG CHEN WANG range will launch exclusively in China and Korea on November 15. Take a look at the latest sneaker from the two collaborators in the gallery above, and keep your eyes peeled for a global release.
