Nike's Metallic Air Max Plus Has Holographic Details
So shiny.
Earlier this month, we just saw metallic accents land on Nike‘s Air Jordan 1 Nova XX. To continue the theme, an Air Max Plus with holographic details has just appeared.
Crafted with a grey-white mesh upper, the entire sneaker appears encaged with wavy, metallic overlays. The holographic effect is created by an oil-style, blue and purple sheen that shifts with the light. A piece of holographic fabric runs above the midsole in light purple and pink, softening the shoe and giving it some pastel tones. The lighter holographic piece is met by grey suede panels that surround the heel and grey plastic that covers the toe.
For a burst of color, an orange-outlined Swoosh is stamped on the lateral and a matching logo appears on the tongue. The entire shoe sits on top of a rubber EVA midsole with a Visible Tuned AIR® element to cushion the feet and absorb shock. Finally, yellow Tn branding is stamped on the heel.
Nike’s Air Max Plus “White/Purple/Orange” is available now on Footlocker’s online store for $165 USD. If you’re on the hunt for back-to-school kicks, take a look at this week’s “Sneaker Edit.”
