Fashion Photographer Peter Lindbergh Passes Away at Age 74

“His ability to see real beauty in people, and the world, was ceaseless, and will live on through the images he created.”

German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh has passed away. Known for his dramatic black and white portraits, the photographer has worked with names like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and more, as well as for magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair and more. He most recently worked on British Vogue‘s September issue alongside Meghan Markle and Edward Enninful, where he photographed 15 women for the history-making cover. “His ability to see real beauty in people, and the world, was ceaseless, and will live on through the images he created,” wrote Enninful on Instagram following his death.

Born in 1944, the creative has had a huge impact on the fashion industry and has become an icon for many. Lindbergh passed away at age 74, and since his death was reported this morning, many have taken to social media to mourn the photographer. Take a look at some of the messages below.
