Virgil Abloh and IKEA Open Exclusive "FITTING ROOMS" Pop-Up

Featuring the designer’s sought after “MARKERAD” collaboration.

If you’ve been eyeing Virgil Abloh‘s IKEA collaboration, the two will be showcasing an exclusive “FITTING ROOMS” exhibition during London Fashion Week.

The exclusive pop-up features a first look at Abloh’s MARKERAD collection, which was announced last year as a part of the designer’s “Fashion You Can’t Wear” campaign. The “FITTING ROOMS” exhibition will allow visitors to enter a space and “try on” the pieces from the IKEA collection, in order to inspired them to start statement-dressing their homes.

In the past we’ve only seen a few pieces from the coveted collection, but the pop-up space will feature all pieces from the range which is slated to release in November across the UK. The branded “SCULPTURE” FRAKTA bags will be displayed alongside the receipt rug, which has been displayed with a till that “prints” the rug. Temporary tattoos will also be available, with time slots being tracked on the “TEMPORARY” clock. The entire pop-up space has been designed “with Instagram moments in mind,” and will be a dream for fashion lovers and streetwear enthusiasts.

The Virgil Abloh x IKEA “FITTING ROOMS” pop-up will run from September 14-15 in Covent Garden, London.
