Watch the time-traveling creative visual here.
Originally released in 2019 as part of her ICONOLOGY EP, Missy Elliott has finally dropped her music video for her “Why I Still Love You” track. Directed by the artist herself alongside Derek Blanks, the creative visual stars fellow artist Monica who plays the role of a mother tasked to explain to a child about the legend of Missy and The Demeanors. Situated in a museum, the music video transitions to the ’60s featuring the girl group in a black-and-white vintage TV set, before traveling to the ’70s disco era and ’80s emo-punk generation.
