UPDATE (February 4, 2020): Following an initial announcement of Sandy Liang’s collaboration with skate shoe giant Vans, the New York designer has released the collection’s full lookbook and product lineup.

The ’90s-infused, unisex range includes a fuzzy leopard-print version of Vans’ iconic Slip-On, as well as chain and gem-adorned velvet iterations of the Authentic. A halter top featuring a gemstone butterfly is a nostalgic nod to early-aughts aesthetics while a pink jumpsuit with silver studs down the side is sure to become an instant favorite. Accessories including a chain-decorated fanny pack and sherpa crossbody put a twist on classic styles.

The Sandy Liang x Vans collection ranges from $14  to $199 USD and will launch on the Vans website and at select Vans stores, as well as at Sandy Liang’s website, beginning February 21.

ORIGINAL STORY (January 24, 2020): Buzzy New York designer Sandy Liang has announced her first-ever shoe collection, designed in collaboration with Vans. The range will also include select clothing and accessories, including a long-sleeve T-shirt, crossbody bag and bucket hat.

Liang brings her signature ’90s-inspired aesthetic to a fuzzy leopard-print iteration of Vans’ classic Slip-On. The Old-Skool is updated with zig-zag stitching, as well as Sandy Liang logo laces and butterfly graphics on the foxing. A teaser posted to Instagram also reveals a pink velvet Authentic adorned with iridescent beading and septum-like hardware. A plush sherpa crossbody features drawstring detailing and a co-branded patch, while a bucket hat arrives in grey snakeskin with a playful polka dot print. Lastly, a tie-dye crewneck is printed with Vans’ checker print down the sleeves.

Stay tuned as the release date and pricing of the Sandy Liang x Vans collection is announced.
