Joe Biden Campaign Releases Fly Swatter
Riffing on the unexpected visitor at last night’s vice presidential debate.
Last night’s vice presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence saw the making of an unexpected star, now trending across social media. Approximately one hour into the debate, which was far more civil than last week’s presidential face-off, a fly landed on Vice President Mike Pence’s head and sat there for about two minutes.
Instagram and Twitter users quickly flooded the platforms with memes about the unexpected guest, whom some joked was a sign sent from late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Riffing on the viral moment, the Joe Biden Victory Fund launched a Biden-Harris-branded fly swatter. The handle of the swatter reads “Truth Over Flies,” referencing President Donald Trump‘s willingness to spread misinformation, particularly regarding COVID-19.
Though the Biden-Harris fly swatter is sold out, keep an eye on the Joe Biden Victory Fund website for a potential restock.
