adidas Originals Teams Up With European Retailer SVD for Retro-Style Forum 84 Hi
A collaboration supporting the creative industry of Barcelona.
Following up on the sneaker that appeared in Beyoncé’s new IVY PARK collection last month, adidas Originals has now debuted a new high-top iteration of the Forum 84 in collaboration with European retailer sivasdescalzo (SVD). The team-up not only features a retro-style shoe, but also helps support the creative industry of Barcelona, which has been significantly impacted this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Building on the vast history of the silhouette that first debuted in 1984, the kicks arrive with premium leather and suede overlays on the upper. Overall, the design boasts a vintage-inspired look with muted ivory and gray shades. The Trefoil logo is spotted on the laterals in black, which also adds contrast on the Three Stripes. The sneakers additionally see SVD’s branding on the VELCRO® ankle strap.
Take a closer look down below. Limited to 300 pairs worldwide, the sneakers are accompanied by unique ID cards featuring the shoe’s serial number. As an effort to revitalize Barcelona’s creative industry, SVD will be hosting an online raffle from December 10 to 18 with an entry fee of €3 EUR (approximately $3.6 USD) that will go towards the Voodoo Dance Club, a project launched by Makuriya Camara and the Voodoo Club to support young creatives.
