The Dolce&Gabbana NS1 Sneaker Proves It Can Be Hip to Be Square
Taking inspiration from the iconic Rubik’s cube.
Dolce&Gabbana reimagines the bold sneaker with its structural NS1 shoes. Presented as an evolution of the coveted Sorrento silhouette, the sneakers champion geometry, color, and linearity while utilizing a vintage 70’s-inspired shape as the foundation of the NS1.
The NS1 sneaker incorporates Dolce&Gabbana’s distinctive lace fabric, joined with rubber, lycra and suede. It is also available with the embroidered DG logo applied on the upper, creating an all-over pattern with details in split leather and rubberized calfskin.
HYPEBAE’s most recent editorial explores the puzzle-like aesthetics of the NS1 shape, mixing and matching shots to illustrate the tactile amalgamation of the sneaker. From corduroy and Houndstooth fabric to mesh and leather, the materials of the sneakers, much like the shoe itself, are juxtaposed against the colored and textured backdrops.
