Louis Vuitton Taps Artist Urs Fischer for Launch of Conceptual Monogram Bags
The duo present a warped take on LV’s classic logo.
Swiss conceptual artist Urs Fischer reinterprets Louis Vuitton‘s signature monogram in a new capsule collection for the French fashion house. Spanning ready-to-wear, sneakers and bags, the drop focuses on a bold color palette of red, black and white that lends itself to Fischer’s in-your-face sensibility.
Fischer renders the LV monogram in blown-up proportions, softening the edges of the instantly recognizable logo. In accessories, Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull tote bag is updated in solid black leather printed with a bright red version of Fischer’s updated monogram, while the iconic Speedy and Pochette arrive in white leather printed with black. Apparel and footwear including a puffer jacket, jogging pants and high-top sneakers are also washed in the artist’s print.
The Louis Vuitton x Urs Fischer collection releases in-store and online January 2021.
