'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Sales Break Nintendo Switch Records
The new game has exceeded all previous sales in Japan.
Nintendo‘s new Animal Crossing: New Horizons game has just broken Nintendo Switch records, and is on track to becoming one of the best-selling video games of all time in Japan. According to reports, the game sold over 1.88 million copies in the first three days of the release, which exceeds any other Nintendo Switch or Animal Crossing game to date.
In addition to game sales, the title has also boosted the amount of Nintendo Switch sales. Although Nintendo previously warned that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic would affect production and shipments, the company sold over 392,000 consoles in Japan just last week, marking the highest seven-day total for the console, as well as outselling the Nintendo Wii in Japan.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the perfect game to get you through the days of self-isolation, as the game sees you moving to a desert island to hang out with other characters and friends with the game, as well as going on missions and tasks to build your own community.
