AMBUSH Celebrates Astro Boy's Birthday With Custom Jumpsuits

Limited to 55 pieces per color.

Following its recent partnership with UNIQLO, AMBUSH has announced a collaborative Astro Boy figure with BAIT. Dubbed ASTRO BOY AMBUSH, the collectible celebrates the Japanese character’s birthday.

“I have always wanted to dress Astro Boy since my childhood. I am so happy and honored to be able to design a special costume for him,” creative director Yoon stated in a press release. The manga character, created by artist Osamu Tezuka, is reimagined by AMBUSH in two iterations — a gold Astro Boy wearing a white jumpsuit, and a silver version wearing black.

ASTRO BOY AMBUSH arrives as a limited edition of 55 pieces per color with a price tag of ¥45,000 JPY plus taxes (approximately $407 USD plus taxes). The figure is slated to drop on April 7 online and at AMBUSH’s WORKSHOP and WORKSHOP 2 locations in Tokyo.
