During this unsettling period caused by the coronavirus outbreak, many young creatives around the world have been practicing social distancing by spending more time on creating original work and sharing them through social media. To help support emerging talent, Danish fashion label GANNI has announced a global creative competition through its “HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS” initiative.

“As always, GANNI feels responsible to nurture creative talents and to keep the creative spirit alive during difficult times,” a representative mentioned in an announcement. Taking place through the brand’s website, the competition will be selecting one winner to receive a €1,500 EUR (approximately $1,612 USD) gift card and to take part in the label’s KIOSK exhibition and shop that will be held in August during Copenhagen Fashion Week, while runners-up will be awarded €500 EUR (approximately $539 USD). Entries are not limited to fashion and can be any type of unpublished artwork including a portrait, illustration, collage and more. A jury led by GANNI’s creative director Ditte Reffstrup will be reviewing submissions and selecting the finalists.

“We are in this together, even though we are separated in our homes. This is my way to reach out to the community and hopefully inspire positive creativity and unity in our community. I can’t wait to see the results of this project,” Reffstrup stated in an official press release.

You can enter the “HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS” competition by simply submitting one to two original images at GANNI’s website. To help spark creativity, check out virtual museum tours by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fondazione Prada and more.
