Selena Gomez Wants You to Wash Your Hands Using The #SafeHandsChallenge
The singer also nominates Cardi B, Gigi Hadid and Olivia Wilde to parttake.
Since the coronavirus outbreak was classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, people across the world have been doing their parts in preventing further spread of the COVID-19. Most countries have encouraged self-isolation with those who are able to working from home, as well as closing of stores, restaurants and bars in bigger cities, to prevent people from going outside.
Now, a new challenge has surfaced on social media dubbed the #SafeHandsChallenge, and Selena Gomez is one of the first celebrities to jump on the trend. The singer was challenged by Ariana Huffington, and has posted a video of herself giving tips to washing hands, including at least a 40-second wash, scrubbing techniques and more. The precaution has been confirmed to be one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus, and to encourage others to be mindful of their hand washing, Gomez has also nominated fellow stars Cardi B, Gigi Hadid and Olivia Wilde.
Stay tuned to see if the #SafeHandsChallenge continues to blow up, and make sure to try it out for yourself and learn the proper techniques.

I am joining @drtedros, @sherylsandberg and many others in the @who #SafeHands Challenge to demonstrate how important it is to do whatever we can to protect ourselves and our communities right now — and that all starts with properly washing our hands. I share here my favorite @Thrive Microstep to create healthier routines both physically and mentally: remembering three things we are grateful for even in these trying times while washing hands. I nominate @selenagomez, @badassboz, @aleenkeshishian and @elainewelteroth.
