Dr. Martens' Latest Collaboration Adds an Unexpected Twist to a Classic Silhouette
Joining forces with Beams and Babylon.
Iconic footwear label Dr. Martens has just revealed its third collaboration for its 1460 Remastered project, previously featuring BAPE and Raf Simons. Now, the brand has joined forces with the two labels Beams and Babylon, creating a unique three-way collaboration that combines Beams’ clean and minimalist aesthetic with Los Angeles label Babylon‘s more hardcore skate-inspired brand.
The two labels have taken their shared punk heritage and have given the iconic 1460 silhouette a double stripe detail down the heel, giving a nod to the “rude boys of the ’60s,” taking elements from the subculture and incorporating it into the shoe. Beams also adds its own signature touch by including its recognizable orange hue, which can be seen across the laces.
Ideal for day-to-day wear, the timeless yet eye-catching collaboration is set to release on Saturday, March 28 and will be available online at Dr. Martens’ website.
