Learn more about Chan and Cook-19’s initiative here.
Gemma Chan, known for her role in Crazy Rich Asians, is giving back to Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) workers by delivering free meals to Charing Cross Hospital in London. Chan is working with Cook-19, a volunteer-led non-profit that provides meals and food donations to NHS workers who are quarantined or otherwise unable to cook for their families or themselves.
Chan shared a photo on Instagram of her and boyfriend Dominic Cooper delivering containers full of food to healthcare workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. “Please be assured that we are adhering to strict social distancing guidelines as advised by an NHS doctor in all parts of the cooking and delivery process,” Chan specifies in her caption.
