UPDATE (June 30, 2020): Kanye West has released a new single and accompanying music video, “Wash Us in the Blood.” The visual opens with footage documenting an encounter between a White police officer and Black protestor, and continues by interspersing protest videos with animated 3-D graphics and clips from West’s Saint Pablo tour and Sunday Service rehearsals.
The single itself, which fans point out sounds similar to previous album Yeezus, is produced by Dr. Dre and features Travis Scott.

ORIGINAL STORY (June 30, 2020): Following his 2019 album Jesus Is King, Kanye West took to Twitter to officially announce a new track dubbed “Wash Us in the Blood” set to debut soon. The artist tweeted a 10-second teaser created by video artist and cinematographer Arthur Jafa and wrote: “Kanye West Arthur Jafa Project 02 Wash Us in the Blood.” Additionally, the visual revealed that the single is from his upcoming album God’s Country.
Back in May, Jafa accidentally teased the project during an Instagram Live conversation with fashion icon Michèle Lamy. “It’s called God’s Country and this will be like the first single I guess, off of it,” Jafa told Lamy. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to not be announcing it or whatever. I may just be spilling the beans.”
An official release date for God’s Country has not been disclosed yet, but “Wash Us in the Blood” will drop on June 30 at 10 a.m. EST. In related news, West has redesigned the Gap store in Chicago in honor of his upcoming collaboration with the retailer.
