Kanye West Envelops Chicago Gap Store With a Handwritten Message
Redesigning the Magnificent Mile location for his 10-year deal with the retailer.
Following an unexpected announcement of a 10-year deal between YEEZY and Gap, Kanye West has left a giant handwritten letter on the facade of a Gap store in Chicago. West expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Gap, and that he is redesigning the Magnificent Mile location ahead of upcoming releases.
Emblazoned across one of the street-facing sides of the store, the letter hints that ‘Ye was involved in changing up the color palette and design for his partnership with the retailer. The location seems to have been chosen to be revamped for being the exact store that the artist himself used to shop at.
The YEEZY x Gap partnership has been receiving much attention in the fashion industry, with West unveiling a series of projects with creatives such as Nick Knight.
