Queer Swimwear Brand HOMOCO Reconstructs Masculinity For Summer Collection

Commemorating gay Finnish artist Tom of Finland’s 100th birthday.

Inclusive queer swimwear and summer-friendly apparel brand HOMOCO has launched a brand new capsule in collaboration with artist This is Amit and the Tom of Finland Foundation. Dedicated to the late Finnish artist known for his homoerotic drawings, garments in the range boast Amit‘s take on Tom’s use of the male form.

Featuring illustrations of fictional construction workers, the collection includes a pair of printed recycled-polyester swim trunks and the fashion label’s first swim brief. Other offerings such as the screen-printed sweatshirts, T-shirts, bandanas and an embroidered baseball cap sport the fictional “Tom’s Full Service” construction company logo and a rare audio recording of Tom’s 1984 dirty talk tape.

According to a press release, a portion of the sales from this capsule will be donated to SAGE, an advocacy and community services organization working with the elder queer community. Additionally, part of the profits from the collaboration will go to the Tom of Finland Foundation.

HOMOCO’s “Tom’s Full Service” collection is now available via the brand’s web store and at the Tom of Finland store.
