Anok Yai, Sora Choi and Jill Kortleve Star in Alexander McQueen's FW20 Campaign
The models boast Sarah Burton’s latest Welsh-inspired designs.
Alexander McQueen has just released its Fall/Winter 2020 campaign featuring its newest silhouettes by Sarah Burton, which were revealed on the runway back in March during Paris Fashion Week. Shot by Jamie Hawkesworth, the visuals star Anok Yai, Sora Choi and Jill Kortleve who are seen amid a field of wild wheatgrass boasting the brand’s latest apparel and accessories like the McQueen Tall Story and Big Story bags.
“I wanted this collection to be really grounded, bold and heroic,” Burton told Vogue. Inspired by her trip to Wales, the English designer incorporated upcycled wool flannel material sourced from previous McQueen seasons. One dominating color in this range is red, which can be found in Wales’ national costume, Welsh blankets and the exterior of the country’s buildings as it signifies “protection, healing and power.”
