'W Magazine' Taps Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa As Its Latest Cover Stars
Set to hit stands later this month.
W Magazine has unveiled its latest issue featuring hip hop rapper Megan Thee Stallion and Grammy Award-winning pop songstress Dua Lipa. Set to drop later this month, “The Music Issue” includes conversations with Saweetie, Tierra Whack, Rico Nasty, Doja Cat, Kali Uchis and more.
The publication also spoke with its cover stars who share what life has been like since the COVID-19 pandemic and their take on the Black Lives Matter movement. Stallion told W: “I shouldn’t have to tell you how to fix racism. I shouldn’t have to tell you not to be racist. I shouldn’t have to tell you how to help us… you should just genuinely feel that way. The color of your skin does not dictate the function of your brain.”
Lipa, who recently released her Future Nostalgia album amid these trying times, commented on her latest project: “My biggest hope for putting this album out at a time like this was that during moments of uncertainty it would give people the best kitchen dance parties ever…. what I’ve realized during this time is that you can bring the fun no matter where you are.”
