Starring Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Rowland and more.
Following the success of Black Is King, Beyoncé has released the music video for her track “Brown Skin Girl” off of her latest album, The Lion King: The Gift. Created in collaboration with SAINt JHN, WizKid and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, the six-minute visual stars Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, Adut Akech, former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland and more beautiful brown skin women and men.
With the aim to empower the Black community, Queen B sings: “Brown skin girl/Your skin just like pearls/The best thing in the world/Never trade you for anybody else” and “Pose like a trophy when Naomis walk-in/She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin/Pretty like Lupita when the cameras close in/Drip broke the levee when my Kellys roll in.”
