Nicole McLaughlin Creates Upcycled Pieces to Kick Off Chinatown Market x Allbirds' Sustainable Collaboration

One-of-a-kind items crafted using scrap materials.

Following her footwear partnership with Crocs, Nicole McLaughlin has now handcrafted upcycled pieces for Chinatown Market and Allbirds‘ new collaboration. Aiming to promote responsibility and sustainability in fashion,  the collection will be auctioned off online for charity.

The one-of-a-kind lineup created by McLaughlin features items ranging from fashion to footwear, entirely made using scrap materials from Allbirds. A vest is constructed with deadstock shoes, while a reworked slipper is complete with a small Chinatown Market-branded pocket placed on the upper.

The entire range will be auctioned off on the LA-based streetwear label’s web store, with 100 percent of proceeds going directly to The Okra Project and Sunrise Movement. Following the auction,  Chinatown Market and Allbirds are planning to continue their partnership with an IGTV series on sustainable design and DIY tricks.

Peep the Nicole McLaughlin x Chinatown Market x Allbirds partnership above. The online auction will commence on August 7 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).
