Up-Cycling Master Nicole McLaughlin Announces Collaboration With Crocs
The designer’s first-ever footwear collab.
Nicole McLaughlin, known for her inventive designs constructed of up-cycled everyday items and vintage garments, is teaming up with Crocs on a footwear collaboration. The designer took to Instagram with a preview of a prototype, which appears to be a clog-boot hybrid complete with a small flashlight and bundle of rope.
Though this is McLaughlin’s first official shoe collaboration, she is no stranger to the realm of footwear. Some of her most recognizable designs are slippers fashioned from old Patagonia jackets and slides made of Capri sun pouches. McLaughlin will no doubt bring her unique eye and transform Crocs’ classic clogs into something fresh and unexpected.
