Drew Barrymore Launches Talk Show With 'Charlie's Angels' Reunion
Inviting co-stars Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz to the premiere of the show.
Drew Barrymore kicked off the premiere of her CBS talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, with a sentimental reunion bringing together the actor’s Charlie’s Angels co-stars Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. The three stars chatted about their 20-year-long friendship and the enduring legacy of the iconic film franchise.
“Here’s the thing about Charlie’s Angels — it’s about girls who can do all of these things and love each other and don’t have competition and support each other,” Barrymore reminisced. Though the film, a remake of the original Charlie’s Angels TV series, premiered 20 years ago, Liu added that time has flown by since beginning the project. “We’ve obviously grown and learned and changed…I know that 20 years have gone by, but I feel like it was yesterday. I feel just as fresh and as young and as creatively excited as I was when I started,” Liu added.
