Louis Vuitton's "Since 1854" Collection Introduces Jacquard Monogram
Honoring the year the famed fashion house was founded.
Louis Vuitton is paying homage to its rich history with a new collection of accessories, footwear and apparel dubbed “Since 1854,” referencing the year the French fashion house was founded. Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière revamped Louis Vuitton’s classic “LV” monogram in jacquard, weaving “1854” in between the pattern’s petals.
Arriving in black and red colorways, the print is applied to the iconic Speedy bag, as well as the Dauphine crossbody and the Onthego tote. Silk scarves, bucket hats and shoes including a lace-up boot, espadrille, lug-sole derby and platform sandal also bear the new monogram. Woven blazers, sweaters and A-line miniskirts comprise the apparel side of the collection.
Louis Vuitton’s “Since 1854” collection launches on September 25.
