kits' See-Through Garments Are Just What You Need for a Photo-Ready 'Fit

Learn more about the NYC-based brand here.

From names like Rui Zhou to Nensi Dojaka, numerous young labels have been emerging on social media, serving ’90s-inspired looks with see-through tops. Another name to keep on your radar for retro styles is kits, a New York-based brand influenced by undergarments.

Since its inception in 2017, kits has been run by a group of friends across Paris and the Big Apple including both stylists and designers. Starting off with generic items like T-shirts and hosiery, the label has developed over the past few years to create its very own designs. Being picked up by Opening Ceremony in 2018, it has been building an impressive portfolio, being featured in major publications like Vogue Italia. Last year, Solange Knowles donned some of kits’ signature pieces for her closing performance at the Venice Biennale.

Returning for yet another series of photo-ready garments, the brand is back with more aesthetic options, including an asymmetrical crop tank and deconstructed wrap skirt. Frills accentuate each design such as long-sleeved patchwork tops, tees and trousers. Rounding off the collection is a set of socks following a similar theme.

Swipe through the gallery above to check out the see-through pieces, which are now available via kits’ website. The label will also be stocked at platforms like Opening Ceremony soon.
