New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio To Release Three-In-One Shoe
The Niobium Concept 1 is updated in new colorways.
New Balance‘s directional Tokyo Design Studio imprint has updated the Niobium Concept 1, a convertible shoe originally introduced as part of its Snow Peak collaboration, in two new colorways for general release.
Arriving in all-black and yellow-black, the shoe contains three styles in one. The shaft of the mid-height boot can be zipped off for a slip-on silhouette and the shoe’s inner bootie can be removed to create a slipper. In addition to the shoes, New Balance and Tokyo Design Studio will also release two black utility bags, a canvas tote and a mesh backpack. A curated range of genderless knitwear, including sweaters and tunics in black and earthy brown, complete the upcoming drop.
The Tokyo Design Studio Niobium Concept 1, apparel and accessories launch at select retailers in Japan on September 12, likely followed by an international release.
