Pokémon Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Exclusive Events and Activations

This year Pokémon Company International is celebrating 25 years by putting together a handful of events and announcements, including an exclusive music headline act by pop star Katy Perry. Additionally we’re expected to see anniversary-themed features in the label’s video games, mobile apps and merchandise.
“It is an honor to be chosen to help celebrate a franchise that has given me so much joy in the last 25 years, and to be able to watch it evolve in the ways it’s provided that kind of electric joy for the kids in my life and around the world,” said Katy Perry following the announcement. Pokémon will also be teaming up with names like McDonald’s, Levi’s and more throughout the year for fun collaborations, and 25th anniversary-themed collections of the signature Trading Cards will be available for purchase as well.
