The North Face is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its classic Mountain jacket by teaming up with BRIT Award-winning musician Griff.

“Just like music, it’s just as important to me to express myself through fashion and the clothes I wear,” Griff says in the press release. “Having the opportunity to work with an iconic brand like The North Face and be a part of the global campaign for the 40th anniversary of the Mountain Jacket has been amazing,” the artist continues.

Since its debut in 1985, the Mountain jacket has been an essential piece for The North Face, offering climbers the same protection from extreme conditions that skiers relied on. While the Nuptse and the Himalayan Parka have earned their own followings, the Mountain jacket quickly became the go-to gear for some of the world’s most daring alpinists — helping define the brand’s legacy and setting a high standard in alpine exploration.

Griff fronts the campaign and celebrates the jacket’s legacy as The North Face releases two new versions of the classic: the Mountain Jacket Dryvent Mono and the Mountain Jacket Gore-Tex. Both designs feature some of the brand’s signature features: fully seam-sealed construction for unbeatable weather protection, alpine-style adjustable pockets for all your essentials and a sleek center front placket for a clean, utilitarian look.

As the names suggest, one includes Dryvent technology for maximum breathability, while the other is equipped with Gore-Tex for ultimate waterproofing.

The North Face’s latest Mountain jackets are available for purchase on the brand’s official website. Click the gallery to get a glimpse of Griff wearing the design.
