Arca Designs Aviator Sunglasses for Ray-Ban
Two limited-edition frames inspired by the concept of juxtaposition.
Ray-Ban has tapped musician and visual artist Arca for updated versions of its iconic Aviator sunglasses. The collaboration arrives as a limited-edition drop with only 400 pairs available in total.
Building on her disruptive art and trailblazing style, Arca has added custom leather and metal details to the shades. Exploring the concept of juxtaposition, the Venezuela-born creative has created two eyewear styles for the partnership.
The Regenerator is a thin silver frame featuring a double bridge and temple tips wrapped in white leather. The silhouette is paired with blue light filter lenses that change from transparent to gray when exposed to sunlight. Meanwhile, the Vortex is an all-black design with its double bridge and temple tips covered in black leather.
